President Ruto Unveils Raila Odinga Mausoleum in Bondo

President William Ruto led national leaders, dignitaries, and community members in Bondo, Siaya County, for the official commissioning and handover of the newly completed mausoleum dedicated to the late former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga. The state event brought together political figures from across the political spectrum to honor the legacy of one of Kenya’s most prominent democracy and reform champions.

Situated at Kang’o ka Jaramogi, the architectural complex features historical archives, personal artifacts, and dedicated monument areas reflecting Odinga’s decade-long political journey and contribution to Kenya’s constitutional development. Speaking at the ceremony, President Ruto commended the late leader’s lifetime commitment to national unity, political freedoms, and institutional governance, describing the mausoleum as a public monument intended to educate future generations of Kenyans on the nation’s democratic evolution.

The dedication marks a key moment of reflection for the political leadership and local communities alike, serving as both a national heritage site and a memorial space.
